Related Posts for WordPress Premium: Automatic Links and Control
Related Posts for WordPress Premium is an add-on for Related Posts for WordPress. Keep both add-ons installed and active. The base add-on analyzes posts in the background and stores related links in its own tables. Displaying recommendations reads those saved links instead of repeating the matching work for every visitor request.

How matching works
The plugin compares posts using their most telling words, titles, categories, tags, and linked posts. Common words that appear across many posts carry less weight. Premium lets you adjust matching weights and see why posts are related. It can also add newly published posts as recommendations for older posts right away and on a schedule.
Premium controls for presentation and content
- Adjust the show with the configurator, custom CSS, and available presentation styles.
- Connect content across custom post types and use custom taxonomies.
- Adapt output with templates that can be overwritten.
- Use the plugin in supported WordPress Network and Multisite setups.
- Keep manually added links when the plugin makes or rebuilds automatic connections.
- Get priority email support.
Review and place recommendations
From a post’s editing screen, add, edit, or remove related posts. This lets editors correct automatic recommendations and keep their own links in place when connections are rebuilt.
Display related posts with the widget in a sidebar or insert the [rp4wp] shortcode where they should appear in your content. Use [rp4wp limit=1] to set a display limit; the shortcode also supports an offset, such as [rp4wp limit=3 offset=3]. For theme output, use rp4wp_children();.
Set up and configure
- Install and activate Related Posts for WordPress and Related Posts for WordPress Premium.
