WordPress plugin
Real Category Management PRO for WordPress Content Folders
Real Category Management PRO shows existing hierarchical WordPress taxonomies as folders beside a content overview. Use the folder tree to browse posts, pages, WooCommerce products, and other custom post types, including large content libraries.

Organize WordPress content with taxonomy folders
Real Category Management PRO shows existing hierarchical WordPress taxonomies as folders beside a content overview. Use the folder tree to browse posts, pages, WooCommerce products, and other custom post types, including large content libraries.
From the overview, drag items into categories or assign them to multiple categories without opening each entry individually. The folder view uses WordPress taxonomy information, which remains available in WordPress if the add-on is uninstalled.
Extend the view to custom post types
The PRO edition works with custom post types, with examples including WooCommerce products, LearnPress content, and bbPress forums. WooCommerce support includes product attributes. The add-on can also work with content from other plugins when they use WordPress custom post types and taxonomies. Named examples include WP Job Manager, Strong Testimonials, Ultimate Member, The Events Calendar, FooGallery, Elementor Website Builder, and Advanced Custom Fields.
Manage categories and browse the folder tree
- Create, rename, or delete categories from the toolbar.
- Drag folders to set a custom order.
- Use quick search to find folders in a larger taxonomy structure.
- Change pages in the content table without reloading the whole backend page.
- Use the interface on touch devices.
Compatibility and languages
The product is described as WordPress 5.x and Gutenberg ready and supports WordPress Multisite. Its interface is available in English, German, Dutch, Spanish, and French.
Set up taxonomies before organizing content
Install the plugin on the WordPress site where you want to manage content, then open the relevant content overview and use its folder tree. For a content type without a taxonomy, make one through the appropriate WordPress theme or plugin setup first. Real Category Management PRO builds its folder view from existing taxonomies rather than creating a separate replacement structure.
