Molongui Authorship Pro handles author attribution on WordPress posts and pages. Assign registered visitors, guest authors, or multiple co-authors in the post editor, arrange their display order, and display linked names in bylines and author boxes. Guest authors can have profiles without WordPress visitor accounts, with bios, avatars, social links, job titles, affiliations, and custom links. Schema.org markup works with attribution for multi-author content.

Configure author profiles and boxes

Author boxes can display bios, avatars, social links, and related posts. Choose boxed, minimalist, tabbed, inline, or additional premium layouts, then adjust the design with live preview styling, responsive settings, and a custom CSS panel. Set a heading such as About the Author, select automatic placement before or after content, show boxes on posts or pages, or insert one with a shortcode where you want it. Dynamic bios support rich text, media, HTML, and third-party shortcodes. More than 30 additional niche social icons are available alongside the broader social icon selection.

Manage guest authors and shared bylines

Pro includes guest author archive pages, one-click conversion from a WordPress user to a guest author, bulk editing and cloning, REST API support, and import and export utilities. Byline modifiers let you add a prefix such as By or a suffix such as et al. Use shortcodes to display co-author lists. The extension can import authorship data from Co-Authors Plus and PublishPress Authors, and author avatars from One User Avatar.

Create author-focused navigation

Build author lists with four layouts and a user role filter. Lists of posts by an author have five layouts and pagination, and visitors can search content by author name. You can disable author pages for registered WordPress users or retrieve author information with shortcodes for page builders. Pro supports custom post types and conditional display rules based on user roles, tags, and other conditions.

Place authorship in content

The Author Box and Post Byline Gutenberg blocks let you place authorship in posts and templates. The blocks require WordPress 6.3 or later. Pro adds controls to the Post Byline block for custom prefix and suffix text, with optional published date, updated date, categories, tags, and comment count. AMP and RTL support are also included.
