Portfolio Filter Gallery Premium is a WordPress add-on for presenting pictures and videos in searchable, category-based galleries. Create filters in the management area, then assign one or more to each picture or video. Visitors can narrow the collection by category, while layout and show settings shape how the gallery appears on the page.

URL-based filtering can open a gallery to a chosen category, and a default filter can be active when the gallery loads. These settings connect a gallery's starting view to the categories assigned to its items.

Filter by category or search

Visitors can combine selected filters using AND or OR logic. Parent-child filter structures group related categories, while dropdown menus offer an alternative to standard filter buttons. A live search bar searches within the displayed collection.

Choose from six filter button styles: Buttons, Pills, Minimal, Outline, Underline, and Flat. Available hover effects include Zoom, Fade, Slide Up, and Blur. Filters can also appear in a sidebar panel.

Choose a layout for each screen

Galleries support masonry and standard grid layouts, with two, three, or four columns and adjustable spacing. Set separate column controls for desktop, tablet, and mobile. Custom thumbnail dimensions, titles below images, borders, grayscale hover effects, and image numbering badges are available in the gallery settings.

Filter buttons can use unlimited color schemes, and custom filter colors can be configured. These appearance controls work alongside the filter styles and hover effects to fit the gallery to a page styling.

Arrange, load, and view items

Set gallery items to sort in ascending or descending order, or use the shuffle button to randomize their display. Add an image watermark overlay for copyright protection. For larger collections, choose pagination or a load more option.

The lightbox includes image or video navigation, captions, and deep linking. Galleries support images and embedded YouTube or Vimeo videos.

Manage content and place the gallery

Gallery management includes drag-and-drop image reordering and bulk image selection. Individual items can be edited for titles, descriptions, links, and filters.

In the editor, use the dedicated Gutenberg block or Elementor widget to select a gallery and preview it. Shortcodes are supported with WPBakery, Divi, Beaver Builder, widgets, custom HTML blocks, and themes.

Set up a gallery

Install Portfolio Filter Gallery Premium in WordPress and open the Portfolio Gallery area in the administration menu. Create filters, add or select gallery media, assign categories, and choose layout and display settings. Then insert the gallery with Gutenberg, Elementor, a supported shortcode, or another available placement method.
