Choose what users can turn into documents

PDF & Print Pro adds PDF and Print buttons to pages, posts, search results, archives, custom post types, and widget areas. Place buttons in content or widgets, or add them with a shortcode or Gutenberg block. Choose a top or bottom corner, or display buttons at both the top and bottom. Use an picture, text, or both, and set custom button pictures.

Choose which user roles can see the buttons, and disable them on selected pages or post types, or for specific users or roles. The PDF button can download a file or open it in a new window. The Print button action is configurable.

Set the content and page layout

Standard output uses the main content in a post or page. The Pro full-page capture option can create a PDF that mirrors the page as it appears on screen. Include a document title and featured image, set the featured image size, then select the PDF size, margins, styles, and portrait or landscape orientation.

Pro works with text or image watermarks with adjustable opacity, plus an option to prevent copying PDF content. Custom first and last pages can contain images, text, or HTML. You can also set top and bottom margins for running titles and change the default PDF filename.

Custom header and footer templates can include images, text, the creation date, source page URL, post date, page number and total page count in PDFs, and post author on single posts or pages. Search and archive documents use the current date for the post date field.

Add fields and shop content

Use Advanced Custom Fields, custom fields, and custom data in documents, placing these elements before or after the main content. WooCommerce compatibility extends document generation to store content. Shortcodes can show featured images and PDF or Print generation counts.

Other output controls include a dynamic URI for a PDF document, sending a PDF by email, adding custom code through the extension options, and excluding links in documents from search-engine indexing.

Install and configure

Install and activate PDF & Print Pro in WordPress, then open its settings. Choose button placement and visibility, choose the content types that can generate documents, and configure document structure and output behavior. Add any required watermarks, templates, custom fields, or store content, then check PDF generation and printing on representative pages, posts, archives, or store content.
