Pixel Cat Premium: Event Tracking for WordPress

Pixel Cat Premium is the paid edition of Pixel Cat for WordPress websites that need event controls beyond Standard Events. Pixel Cat can connect a site to Facebook Pixel, Conversions API, or Google Analytics Pixel. Premium includes the base add-on’s Standard Events and includes Custom Events and Dynamic Events in a point-and-click builder for Facebook Pixel events and parameters.

Match events to user activity

Custom Events describe website behavior in more detail when a Standard Event does not fit. Dynamic Events can respond to time spent on the site or clicks on selected buttons and links. A time delay can hold an event until a visitor has stayed for the chosen period, leaving visitors who exit sooner out of that event.

Custom Audience rules can use pages, posts, categories, and tags visitors view, as well as links and buttons they use. These conditions group visitors according to their activity on the site.

Add context to event data

Event parameters can include the HTTP referrer, post categories and tags, and Google Analytics UTM tags. For supported conversion events, parameters can also include the exact price and currency, giving campaign activity more value context.

Configure Pixel Cat in WordPress

After installing and activating the plugin, open Pixel Cat in the WordPress admin and add the relevant Pixel ID or analytics code. Use the event builder to choose event behavior, audience conditions, and parameters, then configure the WooCommerce or Easy Digital Downloads integration if needed.

Pixel Cat can hide Facebook Pixel tracking from logged-in visitors. Exclusion rules can apply to selected WordPress user levels, including administrators, editors, and contributors, so their activity is left out of tracking.
