Podcast Importer Pro for Scheduled RSS Imports

Podcast Importer Pro brings podcast episodes from RSS feeds into regular WordPress posts or an existing custom post type. Set up separate imports for various shows, each with its own destination and schedule.

Choose where feed data goes

Episodes can be assigned to any Custom Post Type or Custom Taxonomy. Import categories and tags from the feed, and import transcripts when they are included. The add-on can save audio players in custom fields and import native or embedded players from supported podcast hosts, including Buzzsprout, Megaphone, Pinecast, Captivate, Transistor, Spotify for Creators, Simplecast, Podbean, Whooshkaa, Omny, Ausha, Spreaker, Beamly, Audioboom, Fireside and Libsyn.

Podcast Importer SecondLine also works with podcasting add-ons such as PowerPress, Seriously Simple Podcasting and Simple Podcast Press.

Run imports once or on a schedule

A one-time import brings feed episodes into WordPress. Enable continuous importing before you execute it to have future episodes added automatically. The Pro edition works with unlimited scheduled imports, with specific intervals or times for individual feeds. Use the manual Sync button when you need an on-demand update.

• Force a re-sync of existing episodes to refresh their metadata.
• Apply one global featured picture to imported episodes.
• Delete an import entry to disable its scheduled import.
• Run the importer again without creating duplicate posts. Large feeds, especially when importing featured images, may take several runs to complete.

Set up a feed

Install and activate Podcast Importer SecondLine, then open Tools > Podcast Importer SecondLine in the WordPress dashboard. Create an import, enter the podcast RSS feed, and choose the destination content type, taxonomy, categories, featured-image behavior and other available options. For automatic imports of future episodes, enable continuous importing before running the import and set its schedule in the Pro edition. Review the imported episodes afterward, then use Sync for an immediate update when needed.
