How the slider fits the page layout
The slider adjusts to the width of its container. With a responsive WordPress theme, its basic responsive behavior needs no extra theme CSS or JavaScript changes. It can also be used with a non-responsive theme; the slider's behavior then depends on the width of the container that theme provides.
Manage slides in WordPress
After activation, find Slides in the WordPress administration menu under Pages. Open Slides > Settings to configure the available options, then use Slides > Add New Slide to make and organize slides.
Place and style the slideshow
Add the slider wherever needed in a theme template. In page or post content, insert [responsive_slider] in the editor as a shortcode. The add-on provides CSS that you can override in your theme. To adjust the appearance, identify the relevant slider styles and copy your revised rules into the theme's CSS file.
Install and add the slider
- Upload the responsive-slider plugin folder to /wp-content/add-ons/.
- Activate the plugin from the WordPress Plugins menu.
- Open Slides > Settings and configure the slider options.
- Create slides under Slides > Add New Slide.
- Add the slider to a theme template or insert [responsive_slider] in a page or post.
The product information associates the paid edition with Pro access, customer support, and a collection of WordPress themes. It does not describe additional slider controls beyond the slide creation and show workflow. The plugin is intended for self-hosted WordPress installations, not WordPress.com. Additional usage information is in docs/readme.html.
