Consent entries and preference-based actions
Lightweight Cookie Notice Professional extends the customizable cookie notice from Lightweight Cookie Notice with tools for reviewing consent records, responding to visitor preferences and giving users ways to manage their choices.
The notice is generated with a single 9kb gzipped file written in pure JavaScript. The add-on is intended for high-performance sites and sites with many visits. JavaScript checks cookie acceptance, and the plugin supports WP Super Cache, W3 Total Cache, LiteSpeed Cache and WP Fastest Cache.
- Download consent log data as CSV and proof for each log record as PDF.
- Run JavaScript scripts immediately according to a visitor’s cookie preferences.
- Share consent preferences across subdomains and configure Google Consent Mode.
- Import and export plugin data to move it between websites.
- Set the visitor capabilities required to access each plugin menu.
Visitor information and preference controls
The Cookies editor block shows one or more cookie audit tables in posts. Add the Delete Cookies block to let visitors reset their preferences, or the Revisit Consent block so they can change them.
An optional modal window can display a cookies policy, privacy policy or other custom information without redirecting visitors to another page. Enter custom HTML to include cookie or vendor lists, document links and other information.
Appearance and country-based display
Choose from 83 style settings for typography, element colors, borders, drop shadows, opacity and other visual details. Place the notice at the top, middle or bottom of the screen. Responsive layouts use a configurable breakpoint to switch between desktop and mobile designs.
Geolocation can limit notice display to a custom list of countries. MaxMind GeoLite2 setup requires an account, downloaded databases and configured file paths. The HostIP geolocation service retrieves IP data through HTTP requests and does not require an account.
Additional notice behavior
Optional settings include a shake effect when visitors click outside the notice, a transparent mask that makes the page unusable until consent is given, custom cookie expiration and a page reload after acceptance. Test mode shows the notice only to the site administrator while its content, colors and behavior are configured.
Installation and setup
Install the Professional version in WordPress and open its plugin settings. Configure the notice content, appearance, position, behavior and cookie expiration. Set up a geolocation service for country-based display, or configure consent logging and Google Consent Mode as needed. Add the editor blocks to posts where visitors should review or manage cookie information.
