Edition coverage
The free plugin checks page and post content. WP Spell Check Pro includes paid capabilities for finding and fixing spelling and grammar errors, identifying broken shortcodes and broken code, and getting AI suggestions for SEO titles and descriptions on pages and posts. Review the findings and suggestions, then choose which corrections to make.
WP Spell Check Premium checks the entire website. Its broader review can include SEO titles and descriptions, forms, menus, and slugs. Depending on the edition and checking scope, reports may also reveal broken plugins.
Languages and setup
Spell checking supports American English, British English, and Canadian English. Choose the spell-check language on the General Options page.
Install the selected paid edition in WordPress, open its settings, and set the language. Start a check with the scope that matches the site. When the report is ready, review the spelling, grammar, punctuation, SEO, shortcode, and HTML findings, make appropriate corrections in WordPress, and execute another check when needed.
Processing information
Spell and grammar checks run locally on the server, and content is not sent externally for those core functions. Dictionary files are loaded from the add-on's servers for offline use. Optional survey information may be skipped.
