Timeline Express Pro presents WordPress announcement posts as animated vertical timelines. Set a date for each announcement to place it in chronological order, then select ascending or descending display order. Timelines can organize company or customer histories, product roadmaps, event records, personal achievements, police or fire histories, and other date-based content.

Organize announcements across timelines

Create multiple timelines for separate projects, departments, histories, or collections. Assign an announcement to one timeline or to all available timelines. Categories add another way to group entries: users can filter announcements by category on the front end, and sorting can use the category, timeline, or both.

Choose how entries appear

Add a custom picture and choose an icon for each announcement from the included collection of hundreds of Font Awesome icons. Set the excerpt length, hide dates, or remove the read more link. CSS3 animations bring entries into view, while the responsive layout adjusts to announcement content and screen size. Pro also offers tighter spacing between announcements for a more compact timeline.

Place a timeline on your website

Add [timeline-express] to a page or post, publish it, and the timeline appears on the front end. The shortcode lets you choose where each timeline is displayed across your WordPress site.

Set up a timeline

1. Install Timeline Express Pro.
2. Create announcement posts, assign dates, and add their content, pictures, icons, and categories.
3. Set up one or more timelines and assign announcements to one timeline or all timelines.
4. Configure category filtering, sorting, display order, spacing, excerpts, dates, links, images, and icons as needed.
5. Add [timeline-express] to the page or post where the timeline should appear, then publish it.
