Embed Plus for YouTube Pro for WordPress Video Embeds

Embed Plus for YouTube Pro is a separate paid WordPress add-on for creating YouTube embeds. Use its visual wizard to prepare standard videos, Shorts, channel or playlist galleries, livestreams, and premieres. Gallery and livestream embeds require a YouTube API key.

Choose how visitors browse and play videos

Channel and playlist galleries let visitors browse videos from the selected source. Pro includes list and slider layouts, popup or lightbox playback, and text-only paging that hides thumbnails. Galleries can also play videos continuously, moving from one video to the next without a thumbnail click.

Add a YouTube live chat box to a livestream embed. Depending on the stream, chat can include YouTube Super Chat and Super Stickers. Player options include dimensions, autoplay, captions, annotations, looping, related-video behavior, fullscreen controls, and start and end times. Responsive embeds fit phone, tablet, and desktop screens.

Manage loading, privacy, and video details

Facade mode for standard video and gallery embeds loads a lighter player first, then loads the YouTube embed when a user clicks. Livestreams always load the real player. The add-on can defer critical and non-critical JavaScript and serve minified CSS and JavaScript. Pro also includes lazy loading with effects and animations, plus caching to reduce repeated requests and support faster page loads.

Privacy settings include YouTube no-cookie, YouTube API restrictions, and a customizable GDPR consent message. Pro can use the first video’s thumbnail as a post or page featured image when that content contains a video. It also works with automatic video SEO tags and Open Graph tags for Facebook.

Review embeds and publishing options

Pro’s dashboard tracks views for each embed, including how much visitors watch and which embeds receive more or less viewing activity. Deleted-video alerts can identify videos that have been removed or taken down. Mobile compatibility checking helps find embeds with restrictions that may prevent mobile visitors from viewing them.

In Gutenberg, add the Embed Plus for YouTube Wizard block from the Embeds category. The classic editor is supported as well. With compatible page builders, including Elementor, Beaver Builder, SiteOrigin, and Visual Composer, make a shortcode in the wizard and place it in a shortcode or text widget.
