Taxonomies give media a structure
Create unlimited categories and tags, define custom taxonomies, or assign third-party taxonomies to media entries. These terms let you group files by the details that matter to your website.
Filters and search narrow the collection
Configure filters to show or conceal data, author, and taxonomy controls, with separate settings for each taxonomy. A filter can include or exclude child categories. Advanced search finds media by typing the first letters of an item’s name.
Bulk tools update selected items
- Apply unlimited bulk edits; bulk selection does not require a special mode.
- Choose whether items show their title, filename, or caption.
- Reorder media in the library with drag and drop.
- Use infinite scroll or set the number of items loaded per page.
- Automatically categorize media items attached to posts.
Gallery and playlist settings choose what appears
Set up dynamic galleries and playlists with dropdowns and checkboxes, without coding shortcodes. Additional parameters for the WordPress gallery and playlist shortcodes can limit displayed media by category or another taxonomy, month, year, or item count.
MIME controls and settings manage website configuration
Add or remove MIME types and allow or disallow uploads for each file type. A type can also appear in media filters. Plugin settings can be exported, imported, or restored. When moving a library to another website, use WordPress’s built-in content export and import for the content, then transfer the add-on settings to reproduce its configuration.
Developer hooks and multisite behavior
The extension works with custom and code-registered taxonomies, REST API access, and WordPress hooks for media taxonomies and items. It uses no custom database tables; deactivation leaves media items and taxonomies in place. On multisite, network administrators can activate the plugin across the network and choose which options administrators can use. The PRO license key is activated once for the network.
Installation and compatibility
Install and activate the plugin through the WordPress plugin process, then open its settings in the administration area. Create taxonomies, configure filters, and adjust media options before organizing the library. For multisite, network-activate it and configure the options available to administrators.
