Choose video for each device
Use self-hosted MP4, WebM, or OGG files, or select a YouTube or Vimeo video for background playback. Set separate video sources for desktop, tablet, and mobile. Poster pictures can also be assigned by screen size.
Set the poster and visual treatment
Show or conceal the poster picture, apply blur, and select an automatic or custom dominant color. A fallback image can appear if the video cannot be loaded.
Overlay options include colors, gradients, opacity, and blend modes. Dot, grid, and diagonal patterns have adjustable opacity. Animated overlay effects, a noise texture, and a cinematic vignette provide additional options for styling content over the video.
Adjust fit and section dimensions
Set minimum height and padding separately for desktop, tablet, and mobile. Choose Cover, Contain, or Fill to control how the video fits the section.
Set playback and show
Segment Loop sets start and end times to play a selected portion of the video. Playback Speed Control changes video speed, and Audio Support lets you add background music. Display Conditions determine where the video background appears on your website.
Where to use video backgrounds
- Hero areas and banners with introductory content
