Payment Gateways by User Roles for WooCommerce Pro
Payment Gateways by User Roles for WooCommerce Pro applies role rules to payment gateways in a WooCommerce store. For each gateway, select whether it is available only to selected roles or unavailable to selected roles.

Set payment settings for each role
Payment Gateways by User Roles for WooCommerce Pro applies role rules to payment gateways in a WooCommerce store. For each gateway, select whether it is available only to selected roles or unavailable to selected roles.
- Included visitor roles: the gateway is available only to the roles you choose.
- Excluded user roles: the gateway is unavailable to the roles you select.
Role selections can include custom user roles present in the store. If a user has more than one assigned role, configure the rule check to consider either the first assigned role or all assigned roles.
From four standard gateways to broader coverage
The base plugin delivers role controls for Direct bank transfer, Check payments, Cash on delivery, and PayPal. Pro extends those controls to almost all payment gateways created for WooCommerce, including Stripe for WooCommerce and custom payment gateways created for WooCommerce.
For example, a store could let logged-in administrative staff use Cash on delivery while limiting guest users to online card payments. The selected included or excluded roles determine which gateways are available to each group.
Configure the role rules
- Identify the payment gateways that need role-based visibility.
- For each gateway, choose an included-role or excluded-role rule.
- Select the standard or custom user roles for that rule.
- Choose whether the check uses the user's first assigned role or all assigned roles.
- Apply the rules to the payment gateways used in the WooCommerce checkout.
Install the Pro add-on in the WooCommerce store where this control is needed. Then configure each gateway's role rule, select the roles to include or exclude, and set how multiple roles are checked.
