Cache requests and prepare page assets
The cache works with pages, AJAX requests, and dynamic pages, with exceptions based on URLs, pages, or content rules. Listed compatibility includes WooCommerce, bbPress, Cloudflare, and Varnish. CSS and JavaScript utilities can combine and minify documents, generate Critical CSS for each page, and move JavaScript to the footer. Async Execute runs script chunks as they download.
If merged or minified files cause display problems, disable script and style merging. Cache generation can temporarily increase CPU use. Large websites on smaller servers may need slower prebuild settings, fewer threads, exclusions for third-party assets, or less Critical CSS generation.
Process scripts, fonts, and images
The Compute API is designed to speed up merging and reduce CPU use. It also includes advanced JavaScript minification for cases where default minification causes issues, plus a Critical Font option to reduce font icon file size.
Critical Icon Fonts lets you choose the icons used on the website and generate a customized icon font set. The plugin can search themes, plugins, posts, and settings for used icons. After you select the icons, you can enqueue them with one click. When critical icon fonts are enqueued, the plugin can block the original font CSS and files.
The Pro Image Optimizer scans images in themes, extensions, and the uploads folder. Select images individually or execute batch optimization. Set the default image quality in the plugin settings, then override it for selected images before optimizing. The optimizer is described as unlimited, with no additional fees.
Schedule database and cron tasks
Both Lite and Pro include a Database Optimizer that cleans expired transients, orphaned metadata, duplicate metadata, and spam comments. Pro includes scheduled database optimization, so these tasks do not need to be run manually each time.
Remote Cron lets the plugin's API server call wp-cron.php and run WordPress cron jobs as real cron jobs after Remote Cron is configured. Whitelabel settings let you change the plugin name, description, author, and its database prefix.
Manage WooCommerce pages and plugin loading
Pro can disable cart fragments AJAX calls. Its session cache enables dynamic pages such as cart and checkout pages to be cached and preloaded.
The Plugin Organizer can disable plugins on selected pages so they load only where needed. Rules can match URLs, frontend or admin pages, and AJAX actions, with exceptions for specific cases.
Install and configure
Install the plugin through the WordPress plugins screen or upload its files to /wp-content/plugins/. Activate it in WordPress, then run the setup wizard to configure basic settings. Review caching, script optimization, image optimization, database scheduling, WooCommerce options, and plugin rules before applying changes.
Pro includes regular updates with new capabilities. Enabling the Beta tester option can provide updates more frequently.
