SureCookie Pro: WordPress Cookie Scanning and Consent Controls

Start with the pages in scope

SureCookie Pro brings cookie discovery, user choices, script control, consent records, and policy support into WordPress. Its browser-based scanner checks selected pages, so results reflect the configured scan scope. It can surface cookies and resources that appear after page load or through tag managers and third-party scripts, including analytics, marketing, advertising, functional, preference, WooCommerce, and WordPress session cookies.

Review detected cookies and third-party resources, organize them into consent categories, then configure script blocking for non-essential scripts before consent. A customizable banner and preference modal let visitors accept all cookies, decline non-essential cookies, or choose specific categories. Consent logs are stored in the WordPress database.

Use scheduled scans to review changes

Pro can execute weekly automatic scans with the same browser-based scanner used for manual scans. The scans respect the configured scope, and WP-Cron records scan history. History can display newly detected or removed cookies, recategorized cookies, newly detected third-party domains, whether a scan was manual or automatic, the last scan date, and the cookie count. Email digests send scan information to help with review.

Pro also includes auto-apply behavior within the supported consent workflow, compliance guard processes for managing consent-related configuration, geographic targeting for CCPA-style opt-out rules by region, and consent forwarding through the supported SureCookie workflow.

Configure visitor choices and administration

The banner and preference modal support a message, rich text, button labels and order, position, width, logo, animation, overlay, category labels, descriptions, and custom CSS. Script blocking can cover non-essential scripts and embedded content such as iframes, embeds, and objects before the relevant consent is given.

Settings, cookie categories, custom cookies, scan history, scanner credentials, consent logs, and related configuration are stored in the WordPress database. From WordPress admin, consent logs and scan results can be viewed, exported, or deleted. SureCookie also supports cookie policy and privacy policy workflows, including a privacy policy draft whose cookie and consent sections stay connected to configured options.

The plugin supports WPML and Polylang for banner and admin text, RTL frontend cookie policy content, and selected WordPress management integrations when supported. The extension does not charge based on traffic or monthly visitors.

Set up the workflow

Install and activate SureCookie in WordPress, configure the banner and preference modal, define cookie categories, and select the pages to scan. Enable script blocking, review detected resources, and configure consent logging. Then set the Pro settings you need, such as automatic scans, email digests, geographic targeting, compliance workflows, or consent forwarding.

SureCookie delivers technical utilities for scanning, blocking, consent collection, logging, and policy management. Legal requirements depend on the website, its visitors and region, its policies and data practices, and applicable obligations. The plugin does not guarantee legal compliance.
