MetaSlider Slideshow Pro: Responsive WordPress Sliders and Galleries

MetaSlider Slideshow Pro includes slide types and design controls to MetaSlider for WordPress. Use it to combine images with videos from YouTube, Vimeo, TikTok, or external video services, or to create presentations from posts, events, WooCommerce products, and custom HTML. The layouts adapt to desktop, tablet, and mobile screens.

Choose what each slide shows

Arrange slides from the WordPress Media Library with drag-and-drop editing. Image slides can include captions, links, picture titles, and alt text. Pro also adds external image slides that load images from sources outside the WordPress site, plus single-post and WooCommerce product slides.

Post Feed slides pull in posts, events, or products using their featured images. Choose post types and show order, and filter by tags or categories. Caption templates can include fields such as the post title, excerpt, author, and date. A feed can appear alongside other slide types.

For designed layouts, use the built-in editor to arrange animated HTML layers with text, images, video, or shortcodes. The editor includes 50 animation options; layers can also use a video background. Custom HTML slides provide another way to add content beyond a standard image or video slide.

Control presentation and navigation

Set slides to appear on specific dates, at certain times, or on selected days of the week. Use the Theme Editor to adjust navigation, arrows, and captions, preview changes, and make custom themes. Pro themes are also included. Thumbnail navigation displays a row of thumbnails, while filmstrip navigation adds a thumbnail carousel with its own controls.

Additional slideshow options include a Ken Burns pan-and-zoom effect for still images, repeating selected slides, and setting the display time for individual slides. Carousel layouts can display several items at once.

Editor compatibility and setup

MetaSlider works with the WordPress Block Editor and page builders including Elementor, Beaver Builder, Visual Composer, and Divi. Add a presentation using a WordPress block, shortcode, or widget.

To get started, install MetaSlider and its Pro edition, open the slider editor, add the slide types you need, and arrange them by dragging. Configure captions, links, SEO fields, navigation, themes, and visibility or scheduling as appropriate, then place the presentation in your editor or page builder. Image slides and videos from the WordPress Media Library are available in MetaSlider; Pro capabilities require the paid edition.
