Choose folders or taxonomies to classify media
Folders arrange files in a hierarchy you can browse. Custom taxonomies add classification beyond folders. To find a file, search its alt text, filename, caption, or description, choose a match type, and combine filters to narrow the results. Folder search and filtering work in Featured Image, Media Library List, and Grid views, as well as page builders and ACF. Adjust the grid size, column count, and information shown in the folder tree.
Set upload rules or choose details during upload
AI picture categorization uses visual recognition to categorize pictures. The smart upload workflow can display folder selection and metadata editing fields during upload. Default attribute rules apply predefined attributes automatically, while defaults can also set alt text, captions, and descriptions by file type, with support for dynamic tags. Configure how uploads appear, including their links, sizes, and alignment. Files can also be duplicated with one click.
Upload ZIP folders or create archives
Upload a ZIP to create folders from its internal folder structure and automatically extract its contents. For the reverse workflow, create a ZIP archive from selected media files, or export an individual folder or the entire Media Library as a ZIP file.
Edit image details and create galleries
Edit EXIF and IPTC image metadata, or use image optimization controls to compress images with custom quality levels and automatically convert uploads to WebP. Extend WordPress’ [gallery] shortcode to create dynamic galleries.
Import existing organization and keep familiar utilities
Import from other WordPress Media Library extensions and continue using compatible page builders, themes, and WordPress plugins. After installing and activating the add-on, open its Media Library controls. Create folders, set a default folder, and define any metadata or attribute rules for your upload workflow. Then organize or filter existing files, export them, or import organization from another extension as needed.
