AI Vision and filename settings
AI Vision analyzes pictures to suggest meaningful filenames, while smart suggestions help you select a suitable name. You can also anonymize files or number them for a predictable sequence.
Directory moves, metadata, and locks
Move multiple files across directories in bulk. The metadata process covers Title, ALT Text, Caption, and Description, which you can synchronize alongside a rename. Lock files to prevent accidental renaming, with an option to lock them automatically after manual or automatic renames.
Compatibility and limits
The add-on works with Retina and WebP images, resized images from WordPress 5.3 onward, PDF thumbnails, UTF8 files, and optimized images. It handles various encoding types. Some page builders, including Avia Layout Builder, may limit renaming when encryption is involved.
Back up and check references
Renaming or moving files can affect references, so make a backup before using the extension. Start with one file and confirm that its references update correctly; some plugins may interfere. If a renamed file appears incorrectly because of cached references, clear the cache. Use Undo to revert filenames if a change causes an issue.
Start with one picture
Install the plugin in WordPress and open the media-renaming workspace. Review files by status, then test one image before applying AI Vision, suggestions, metadata synchronization, locking, numbering, anonymization, or bulk directory moves across more of the library.
