Controls for WordPress tasks
- Performance: Minify HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, configure critical CSS and deferred scripts or styles, and manage page caching.
- Code cleanup: Disable selected output such as RSS feeds, emojis, embeds, and metadata links.
- Search settings: Adjust robots.txt and settings for selected archives, attachment pages, and other duplicate content sources.
- Administration: Manage comments, notices, widgets, revisions, Heartbeat API activity, and WordPress, add-on, and theme updates.
- Assets: Selectively disable scripts and styles from plugins or themes where they are not needed.
Page caching and multisite
Clearfy Premium includes page caching and multisite support. Page caching stores eligible front-end pages as static HTML files on the server. Depending on the settings and request, a cached file can be served instead of generating the page through WordPress, its plugins, and the database. Review the cache configuration after enabling it.
Multisite support is intended for administrators working with a WordPress network. Review which settings should apply across the network and which need to be managed for individual sites.
Check for overlapping settings
Clearfy can be used alongside other WordPress plugins, but plugins that manage the same task may conflict. Choose which plugin controls each shared function and disable the overlapping Clearfy option. For example, if Autoptimize combines and minifies files, turn off Clearfy’s HTML compression setting when it overlaps with that setup. The same approach applies to caching and Heartbeat API controls.
Installation and troubleshooting
Install and activate Clearfy through the WordPress plugins screen. Open the Clearfy settings screen, review the available functions, and enable only those that fit the website. For a network, configure multisite settings as needed.
If activation causes an error and the dashboard is available, deactivate the plugin there. If you cannot access the dashboard, remove the plugin through FTP. Before reactivating individual functions, review settings that may overlap with other plugins.
