Genesis Pro: Advanced Fields for WordPress Blocks

Genesis Custom Blocks lets developers select what editors enter in a custom WordPress block and control how that content appears on the front end. Genesis Pro adds six field types, block-level import and export, and 24/7 support. The WordPress block editor must be enabled.

Set up fields for block content

Choose fields to create reusable structures for pages, posts, landing pages, and other website content. Genesis Pro adds:

• Repeater Field: Group content that repeats within a block.
• Taxonomy, Post, and User Fields: Connect block content with WordPress taxonomies, posts, and visitors.
• Rich Text and Classic Text Fields: Give editors various text-entry options.

Genesis Custom Blocks also includes Inner Blocks, File, Text, Image, URL, Toggle, Textarea, Select, Range, Radio, Number, Multi-choose, Email, Color, and Checkbox fields.

Render the block with a template

Build templates in the editor in WordPress admin or use familiar WordPress development practices, including PHP block templates such as block-example.php. Developer-friendly functions can render and work with the data saved through custom block fields. The template controls how the entered content appears on the front end.

Install and use

Install and activate Genesis Custom Blocks on a WordPress website with the block editor enabled. Create a block, select its fields, then create its template in the built-in editor or with a PHP block template.
