Supported formats include GLB, GLTF, OBJ, STL, FBX, DAE, PLY, and 3DS. GLB and GLTF uploads are enabled by default; you can enable other supported formats under Allowed Mime Types in Settings. Responsive rendering and lazy loading help models display across devices and load when visible.
Model sources and display settings
Load a model from an external URL, such as a file hosted on Amazon S3, Google Drive, or a CDN, instead of uploading it directly to WordPress. Adjust lighting, shadow intensity, and exposure, then select the camera angle shown when the viewer opens. A poster picture and progress bar can display while the model loads. Settings also let you enable or disable auto-rotate, fullscreen, and autoplay.
WooCommerce product views
Add multiple models to a product with a 3D gallery, including models for product variations. Hotspots and annotations can point out details within a model. In the WordPress dashboard, edit a product and use the 3D Viewer Settings metabox to upload a model or enter an external link. Publish the product to show its 3D model.
Other viewer features
Augmented Reality is included in the base 3D Viewer add-on. On supported phones, users can place a model in their surroundings through WebXR, Scene Viewer, or Quick Look. Desktop visitors can scan a QR code to open the model on a phone. Choose floor or wall placement and add an optional iOS .usdz source.
The base plugin also works with environment pictures for lighting and reflections, HDR skybox backgrounds, and an optional model download button. The download button is off by default.
Set up a viewer
