WordPress plugin
WP MCM Premium for WordPress Media Management
WP MCM Premium lets you choose the taxonomy used for media: standard post categories, dedicated MCM media categories, or a custom media taxonomy already assigned to attachments. The settings list taxonomies in use on the site, including taxonomies assigned to attachments by other plugins. After choosing a taxonomy, define its categories and toggle assignments individually or in bulk. Filter documents in the Media Library's List or Grid view.
Choose how media is categorized
WP MCM Premium lets you choose the taxonomy used for media: standard post categories, dedicated MCM media categories, or a custom media taxonomy already assigned to attachments. The settings list taxonomies in use on the site, including taxonomies assigned to attachments by other plugins. After choosing a taxonomy, define its categories and toggle assignments individually or in bulk. Filter documents in the Media Library's List or Grid view.
Files can also be arranged in hierarchical folders, with an option to organize uploaded files into physical folder subdirectories. If you enable a default media category, it is assigned to an attachment without a category when that attachment is added or edited. The default category can also filter attachments displayed through the [wp_mcm] shortcode.
Set visitor controls and filter galleries
Premium lets you set whether visitors are allowed or disallowed to manage media. Per-user filtering is available in Media Library views and for media displayed through a block or shortcode.
Use the WPMCM Gallery block to filter media in galleries on posts and pages. Shortcode processes are supported too, including a WPMCM Gallery block layout for filtering and presenting media.
Transfer category and attachment data
Export MCM categories, attachment information, or both, filtered by user. WP Importer functionality supports importing exported information, including on websites without WP MCM Premium installed.
