WP Google Map Pro: Maps, Markers & Store Locators

WP Google Map Pro is a paid edition for creating responsive Google Maps in WordPress. Maps use a Google Maps API key configured in the add-on settings.

Map editor and shortcode placement

Create a map in the WordPress dashboard and set its title, location, and markers. After saving, copy its shortcode from the map list and paste it into a page, post, or sidebar. A typical shortcode is [gmap-embed id="123"]. Multiple maps can appear on the same page.

Map settings and marker controls

The Pro edition supports unlimited maps and markers. Configure map dimensions, zoom levels from 1 to 22, language, regional settings, and controls for zooming, panning, and map types. Supported views include Roadmap, Terrain, Satellite, and Hybrid, with Google Map Street View integration. Markers can be dragged to choose locations and assigned custom icons.

Location search and marker listings

The advanced Store Locator offers search settings and real-time category filtering. Advanced category filtering supports multiple selections. Marker listings can appear below or alongside a map in Basic List, Basic Table, Advanced Table, or Carousel layouts. These tools can organize business branches, properties, directories, destinations, event venues, or service areas.

Directions and map styling

Directions are available in Legacy Design, a classic layout, and Modern Drawer, a side-panel interface. Add custom styled map themes with JSON settings; custom CSS and JavaScript are also supported for styling and behavior adjustments.

Map data and API setup

Import and export map data in JSON or CSV for migration and backups. Enter a Google Maps API key in the plugin settings; the key can be obtained through Google Cloud Console. Setup guides and a video tutorial are available.
