WP-Cron Status Checker Pro: Are Scheduled Hooks Completing?
WP-Cron Status Checker Pro distinguishes whether WordPress can execute WP-Cron from whether individual hooks finish. WP-Cron supports update notices, scheduled posts, auto-draft cleanup, subscription billing, session cleanup, and scheduled sales. If it cannot run, these tasks may not run as expected.

Two checks for scheduled work
WP-Cron Status Checker Pro distinguishes whether WordPress can execute WP-Cron from whether individual hooks finish. WP-Cron supports update notices, scheduled posts, auto-draft cleanup, subscription billing, session cleanup, and scheduled sales. If it cannot run, these tasks may not run as expected.
The add-on checks WP-Cron availability and entries hooks that run through it. Administrators can review what ran, when it ran, how long it took, and whether it completed.
Availability check: can WordPress run WP-Cron?
Every 24 hours, the add-on checks whether WordPress can run WP-Cron. It sets its own transients to expire over that period, so the check does not rely on WP-Cron itself. When a transient expires, the plugin checks again. An unexpected error triggers an email notification.
Hook results: did each run complete?
The hook log records activity, timing, duration, and completion status. A hook that takes longer than five minutes to complete is treated as failed.
The plugin can detect some cases where code abruptly exits the process. When it catches this type of interruption, elapsed time may display as N/A with an Incomplete status. In other detected cases, the result shows Exit, which is considered complete.
Use the alert to narrow the problem
A message that WP-Cron cannot run usually points to WordPress, the server, or permissions. A message that WP-Cron failed to complete usually points to specific PHP code that produced an error or did not finish. These alerts help distinguish an availability problem from a hook-level failure.
Pro log and email settings
The Pro version removes the three-log limit and lets you choose to keep logs longer and email more frequently. Review the available settings to select the log-retention period and notification frequency offered by the plugin.
Review status and logs
Find the status page in the WordPress administration area under Tools > WP Cron Status. The plugin also appears on the admin dashboard. Install the Pro plugin, review its dashboard and status page, and adjust the available log and email settings. After scheduled tasks run, inspect the log for hook results, durations, and completion statuses.
