Easy Updates Manager Premium gives website administrators control over which WordPress core, add-on, theme, and translation updates can run automatically. It works on a single website or WordPress Multisite, with options for updates that should stay under manual control.
Premium includes scheduling and delay controls to those update rules. Safe mode checks compatibility with the installed WordPress and PHP versions, while version control protection prevents updates to add-ons and themes under version control. You can also check plugins that have been removed from the Plugin Directory.
Timing, checks, and backups
Choose when automatic updates run to fit your site's schedule and help avoid unwanted downtime. Delayed updates let you postpone automatic updates during hotfixes or periods with frequent releases. Before an update, Easy Updates Manager can use UpdraftPlus to create a backup as part of the update process.
Logs and notifications
Logs record what was updated and when. Premium can send alerts through external logging when new updates are logged, clear log entries on a schedule, and export entries for printing or as CSV or JSON documents for a selected date range.
Email settings include weekly or monthly reports of pending updates. You can configure update notification recipients with one email address or multiple comma-separated addresses.
Settings and integrations
Import and export settings to transfer configuration between sites. Easy Updates Manager Premium integrates with UpdraftCentral and works with webhooks for third-party services; webhooks can run automatic updates through cron or Zapier.
Anonymization controls the information sent to the WordPress API. White-label settings disable notices and tailor what clients see. You can also conceal extension and theme updates for custom-developed components that need separate handling.
How the controls fit together
An administrator can first choose which core, plugin, theme, or translation updates are allowed. They can then set a schedule, delay updates, or protect version-controlled components. An UpdraftPlus backup can run before an update, with logs and notifications providing a record afterward.
