Design and place popups
Choose from nine placement settings, then adjust fonts, colors, backgrounds, borders, shadows, and close-button behavior. Backgrounds can use images or solid colors. Display popups across the website or on selected pages and posts.
Choose when popups appear and close
In addition to the standard triggers, Popup Box Pro supports hover, right-click, text selection, and exit intent. Loop popups can appear at random intervals. Set a timer to close a popup, redirect users after it closes, or limit it to once per session. Overlay and shadow effects help separate popup content from the page.
Target visitors and schedule shows
Set rules for URL query strings and referrer URLs. You can also target by visitor location, WordPress role, device type, browser, or language preference, and schedule a popup for selected dates or times. These controls let you choose which audience sees a message and when it appears.
Add forms, videos, and interactive content
Use the [videoBox] shortcode for YouTube or Vimeo videos, [buttonBox] for styled buttons or popup close triggers, and [iframeBox] for maps, files, or external sites. Popup content can also include Contact Form 7, WPForms, and other shortcode-based content. The add-on includes 28 entrance animations. Its forced-interaction option temporarily disables the close button for critical actions, so use it carefully.
Set up a popup
Install the extension through the WordPress plugins screen or upload its documents to the /wp-content/add-ons/ directory, then activate it in WordPress. Create a popup with the live preview editor and choose its placement, content, trigger, and display rules before publishing. If a popup does not appear, clear browser, WordPress, and server-side caches, or temporarily disable caching while checking the configuration.
