OptinMonster Pro: WordPress Campaigns and Lead Generation

OptinMonster Pro includes advanced campaign tools to the WordPress add-on, which connects to the OptinMonster service and requires an account. Create campaigns for newsletter signups, lead collection, coupons, promotions and ecommerce messages with a drag-and-drop builder.

Campaign formats for various placements

• Lightbox popups can collect newsletter signups or display coupons, WooCommerce cross-sells and upsells.
• Floating bars sit at the top of a page for announcements, free-shipping notices, sales and countdown promotions.
• Slide-in popups appear from the bottom of the screen to highlight offers such as coupon codes, related posts or WooCommerce upsells.
• Fullscreen welcome mats put an offer in the user’s main view. Inline signup forms fit within page content or can appear at the start or end of a post.
• Sidebar forms provide another newsletter signup placement through a shortcode or Gutenberg block. Spin-a-wheel campaigns use a coupon wheel for an interactive opt-in.

The builder also supports Yes/No forms, content locker campaigns, mobile-specific popups and custom campaigns built from scratch. Campaigns can include fields such as name, email, phone, checkboxes, dropdowns, pictures, videos, buttons and countdown timers.

Targeting and timing rules

Display rules can show campaigns based on the page, referrer, visitor location or device. Other targeting options use browser cookies, past campaign interactions or WooCommerce cart details such as its contents and order value. Timing rules include exit intent, scroll depth, link clicks, inactivity, time on a page and scheduled dates or times.

OptinMonster Pro includes advanced tools such as Exit-Intent, Campaign Scheduling and Countdown Timers. Timers can be static or evergreen. The builder also includes campaign templates, animations, A/B testing and conversion analytics.

Connect forms to marketing tools

Native connections include Mailchimp, HubSpot, ConvertKit, Klaviyo, Keap/Infusionsoft, ActiveCampaign, WooCommerce, Easy Digital Downloads, MemberPress and Google Analytics, along with other email services, CRMs and ecommerce platforms. When a native connection is unavailable, you can use an embedded form, add a shortcode-based form from add-ons such as WPForms, Gravity Forms, Formidable Forms, Ninja Forms or Contact Form 7, or send lead information through webhooks. Zapier and Uncanny Automator provide additional connection and automation options.

Campaign tools also include subscriber segmentation, lead sharing and lead backup or storage. Google Analytics connections can track events and ecommerce activity.

Install and connect an account

Install the WordPress plugin, then register for or connect an OptinMonster account. Create a campaign, pick its format, add the message or form, and select a connection for your marketing process. The account described with the plugin includes three campaigns and up to 500 campaign impression credits. If those credits are used, the account is upgraded so campaigns can continue to display; upgrade preferences are available in the account.
