File submission on WordPress pages and posts
Iptanus File Upload Professional includes front-end upload forms to pages and posts through the [wordpress_file_upload] shortcode. Add the add-on widget to a sidebar, or use multiple shortcode instances on one page or post.
Upload choices and feedback
The Professional edition supports multiple and very large file uploads. Visitors can drag and drop documents into the form. If a connection is lost, a resumable upload can continue until the file is fully uploaded. CAPTCHA adds a verification option, and detailed progress bars display more information during transfers.
Uploaded files can appear in a list, and pictures can be shown in a gallery. Custom CSS rules added through the shortcode let you adjust the form’s appearance.
Submission details and file destinations
Alongside files, forms can collect checkboxes, text, email addresses, and dropdown selections. If file selection is optional, a form can also collect contact details without requiring an upload.
Choose a destination from a list of subfolders, add files to the WordPress Media area, or attach them to the current page. The add-on can also save uploads to an FTP or SFTP location. Notifications and emails can be produced after submissions, and users can be redirected to another URL after a successful upload.
Administrator review and management
Administrators can find submissions in the Dashboard’s Uploaded Files menu and manage them with the included file browser. Upload events and file management actions can also be logged for administrator review.
Browser support and setup
HTML5, AJAX, and CSS3 support help provide the intended experience. Older and mobile browsers may not support every feature; webcam video uploads also depend on browser support.
Install and activate the plugin, then add the [wordpress_file_upload] shortcode to a page or post, or place the widget in a sidebar. Configure the destination, fields, notifications, and Professional settings. Test the form in a current browser with JavaScript enabled.
Common uses
Use the forms for project files, customer submissions, support requests, picture contributions, screenshots, or webcam video uploads where the browser supports the required functionality.
