Accessibility Checker Pro: WordPress Accessibility Scans
Accessibility Checker Pro runs more than 40 automated checks based on the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2. The checks relate primarily to Level A and AA success criteria. When content is saved or published, the add-on scans it and displays findings in the WordPress editor. Review issues on the edit screen or switch to a front-end view to see the affected elements. Each finding includes documentation to explain the issue and guide remediation.

Separate content edits from development work
Some findings can be addressed in the content, such as adding missing alternative text, improving heading order, correcting link text, addressing color contrast, or adding headings to tables. Other findings may require changes to a theme, plugin, or custom code. The issue information can help teams share those problems with the developer responsible for the change.
Expand scan coverage with Pro
Pro works with bulk full-website scanning and scans for custom post types, including portfolios, team member pages, and WooCommerce products. This extends review beyond standard posts and pages.
Apply available automated fixes
One-click fixes cover common barriers. Available fixes include:
- Adding skip links and focus outlines.
- Blocking links from opening new windows, forcing links to be underlined, and adding warnings to links that open in new tabs.
- Labeling comment and search fields, showing an error message for empty search submissions, and adding file size and type information to links.
- Adding missing language and direction attributes, making the viewport scalable, and removing positive tab indexes.
- Removing title attributes when preferred accessible names are present.
Pro-specific fixes include adding missing page titles, blocking PDF uploads, and labeling form fields.
Use supported editing workflows
Accessibility Checker has been tested with the Gutenberg Block Editor, Classic Editor, Advanced Custom Fields, Avada, Beaver Builder, Divi, Elementor, Oxygen, WP Bakery, and WooCommerce.
Plan support and ongoing remediation
Pro clients receive unlimited personal support for plugin usage and capabilities. Customers on a small business plan or above receive two accessibility office hours calls each month for remediation questions. Finding details and linked help articles can also support the team's work through reported issues.
Install and begin scanning
Install Accessibility Checker Pro in WordPress, then save or publish content to begin scanning. Review reported issues in the editor, apply available fixes where appropriate, and execute broader scans for custom post types or WooCommerce content as part of ongoing accessibility review.
