Forms for content and user tasks

Forms can work with posts, pages, users, terms, ACF fields, custom meta data, and other data. Use them to add, edit, publish, or trash posts, edit user profiles, and register users. To let users choose post categories, add a taxonomy field and set its type to Category.

Set form visibility by user role or specific users, conceal the WordPress admin area from selected users, or display a form in a modal that opens when a button is clicked.

Pro tools for shared data and submissions

When shared content, such as header or footer data, is stored in an ACF settings page, a form can let users edit those global options from the frontend. Submission controls can limit how many times all users or specific users submit a form.

Configure email actions in the form settings to send emails after submission. Map form data to the email address, from address, subject, and message; the settings support sending any number of emails per submission.

Style forms and arrange longer flows

Use the Style tab with Elementor to style forms and buttons. Multi-step forms divide a longer form into stages. For a page where the form should stay out of view until requested, show it in a modal that opens from a button.

Payments and WooCommerce products

Forms can accept payments through Stripe or PayPal upon submission. The WooCommerce integration lets users add products from the frontend.

Built-in integrations include WooCommerce, Easy Digital Downloads, SureCart, Advanced Custom Fields, and Pods. Supported page builders include Elementor, Bricks Builder, Spectra Website Builder, Divi Builder, Beaver Builder, Thrive Architect, Gutenberg, and Oxygen Builder.

Create and place a form

Install and activate Advanced Custom Fields, then install and activate Frontend Admin in WordPress. Create a form under ACF Frontend Admin > Forms, choose its type, and configure its fields, permissions, display, and other settings. For email processes, add the required fields and configure email settings in the form. Place the finished form with a Gutenberg block or shortcode.
