Image output and service limits
The base add-on lets you select picture sizes, including thumbnail, medium, large, full size, and theme-specific sizes. Set an image above the post text, wrap text to its left or right, center it above the text, and adjust padding. Image HTML also works with Feedly’s webfeedsFeaturedVisual class. Some services strip alignment or sizing CSS, so image styling may need adjustment in the receiving service.
Premium feed controls
- Add media and enclosure tags for services that require them or for custom email templates. In advanced template designs, choose media-tag images only to help address duplicate image output.
- Customize the image show size used in RSS feeds.
- Use the first photo in a post when no featured photo is set.
- Disable responsive images if a service has trouble with responsive image code, such as Mailchimp Preview.
- Exclude categories, including Homepage or Featured, from the RSS feed.
- Add text or HTML before or after posts, such as backlinks or advertisements.
- Set a delay before new posts enter the feed, allowing time to catch typos or accidental publication.
Setup and support
After installing and activating the add-on in WordPress, open Featured Images in the Dashboard sidebar to configure image output, feed content, categories, tags, and publishing delay.
