Remove admin menus by role Pro
Remove admin menus by role Pro lets you choose which WordPress administration menus to remove for particular user roles. Each role can have its own selections, so the dashboard menu can reflect the responsibilities assigned to those accounts.
What changes for each role?
Remove admin menus by role Pro lets you choose which WordPress administration menus to remove for particular user roles. Each role can have its own selections, so the dashboard menu can reflect the responsibilities assigned to those accounts.
These settings change which menus appear in the dashboard. Treat menu visibility separately from page permissions, and review permissions directly when users should not be able to open an administration page.
Configure and review menu selections
- Install and activate the Pro add-on in WordPress.
- Open its settings, select the administration menus to remove, and choose the roles those selections apply to.
- Save the configuration, then review the dashboard with the relevant roles.
Checking each role's dashboard lets you confirm which menus remain visible after the selections are saved.
Multisite and Pro options
The plugin is compatible with WordPress multisite. When setting it up for a network, consider the roles and administration menus used across the sites in that network.
The Pro edition includes more options than the standard edition for managing menu removal by role.
