Conditional Shipping for WooCommerce Pro | Checkout Rules
Conditional Shipping for WooCommerce Pro applies rulesets to shipping methods in your existing WooCommerce shipping zones. Rulesets check conditions and execute their actions when those conditions pass, controlling which methods customers see at checkout. You can use it with flat rate, free shipping, pickup, and other shipping zone methods.
How conditional shipping works
Conditional Shipping for WooCommerce Pro applies rulesets to shipping methods in your existing WooCommerce shipping zones. Rulesets check conditions and execute their actions when those conditions pass, controlling which methods customers see at checkout. You can use it with flat rate, free shipping, pickup, and other shipping zone methods.
For example, set a 30 kg limit for Economy and a minimum weight for Freight so lighter and heavier orders have the appropriate method available.
Conditions for orders and products
Core conditions cover products, total weight, total length, height, width, volume, and order subtotal. Pro includes these conditions and adds checks for:
- Product measurements, such as allowing a shipping method only when the tallest product in the cart is 10 cm or less
- Shipping class and category
- Coupons and the number of entries in the cart
- Whether a customer is logged in or logged out, and the customer's visitor role
Costs and checkout information
Pro can adjust shipping costs when conditions pass, such as increasing the cost by 20% for large items. It can also change shipping method titles and display conditional shipping notices. If no configured method applies, you can display a custom unavailable-method message based on conditions.
Configure and review rules
- Set up shipping methods and zones in WooCommerce.
- Open WooCommerce > Settings > Shipping > Conditions and make rulesets.
- Select the methods to adjust, then set conditions and actions.
- For dynamic rates such as USPS or DHL, use the Match by name option to select the shipping method.
- Review the checkout result. Enable debug mode to see which conditions passed and which actions ran.
Install the add-on on your WordPress website and configure its rules alongside your existing WooCommerce shipping setup. Priority email support is available for Pro. The support forum is checked regularly, though a response is not guaranteed for every issue.
