Bring videos into the library
The custom HTML5 player supports MP4, WebM, and OGV files, HLS and MPEG-DASH streams, and embeddable players from YouTube, Vimeo, Dailymotion, Rumble, Facebook, and Bunny Stream. It also accepts embed codes from third-party video-sharing websites. Premium can import videos from YouTube and Vimeo; Video Automations can import from YouTube channels or playlists and fetch new videos on a schedule.
Set playback and access rules
Player controls include speed and quality selection, volume, picture-in-picture, fullscreen, sharing, embedding, downloads, subtitles, and keyboard shortcuts. Playback options cover autoplay, looping, muted playback, preload, and playsinline behavior. WebVTT subtitles and captions are supported, with multiple subtitle tracks for self-hosted videos. The player also supports chapter markers and GDPR compatibility. Downloads are available for self-hosted or external video URLs when the file is publicly accessible; videos from third-party services cannot be downloaded through the player.
Access rules can apply across the library or to individual videos. Allow all users, logged-in visitors, logged-out users, or selected visitor roles to watch. These rules restrict playback through the player; someone with the URL of a publicly accessible self-hosted file may still open that file directly. A trailer or teaser can appear for visitors who do not have access.
Present and filter the collection
Premium gallery templates include popup, inline, slider, playlist, and compact modern layouts. Responsive galleries can filter videos by category, tag, or featured status and sort by posted date, title, views, likes, dislikes, random order, or custom menu order. AJAX search and filtering by keyword, category, or tag update results without a page reload. Numeric pagination helps visitors move through larger collections.
Front-end options include likes and dislikes, comments, social sharing for Facebook, X, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Tumblr, and WhatsApp, dedicated search layouts, and controls for displaying individual HTML components. Shortcode Builder, Gutenberg blocks, and widgets can place galleries, categories, video players, and search features around a WordPress website.
Extend the viewing journey
Video SEO adds Schema.org markup in JSON-LD, and an automatic thumbnail generator prepares video thumbnails. Premium also provides custom logos and branding, a custom context menu, front-end video submissions, and user playlists and favorites. VAST and VPAID ad support lets websites use video advertising. An email collection form can appear before, during, or after playback.
Set up a gallery
Install the extension in WordPress, then configure the player, gallery layout, access rules, and import or submission options. Add videos manually or import supported content, organize the posts with categories and tags, and place the finished gallery using a shortcode, block, or widget.
