Choose a checkout flow

Embedded and overlay forms let customers pay on your site. For hosted checkout, Stripe Checkout works with desktop, tablet, and mobile experiences. Start with a pre-made template or use the drag-and-drop builder to make a form. Custom fields can collect information alongside payment details, and forms can request billing or shipping addresses.

Set amounts and payment terms

Forms can collect a fixed amount or let customers enter what they want to pay, which can fit donations. Use forms for one-time charges, subscriptions, installment plans, or services with an initial setup fee. Other options include free trials, custom payment receipt emails, coupon codes, and tax rates.

  • Split a payment into installments.
  • Apply coupon codes to one-time payments or subscriptions.
  • Set custom tax rates and collect customer details.
  • Offer an initial setup fee or a free trial with a subscription.

Manage recurring payments

Customers can choose subscription plans through payment forms. Pro adds controls for customers to manage subscriptions through Stripe, renewal reminders, custom billing periods, and cancellation messages. Subscription templates are also available.

Offer payment methods for your customers

Custom forms support Apple Pay and Google Pay, along with options such as ACH debit for U.S. bank accounts, SEPA Direct Debit in Europe, Bacs Direct Debit in the U.K., Bancontact, GrabPay, Klarna, and Afterpay or Clearpay. Stripe Checkout also lists Alipay, WeChat Pay, BECS Direct Debit, BLIK, FPX, Giropay, iDEAL, MobilePay, PIX, Przelewy24, and PromptPay. Available methods depend on Stripe and the customer's region. The listed Checkout capabilities include more than 30 languages, 45 countries, and 135 currencies.

Connect forms to your website

WP Simple Pay Pro includes integrations with AffiliateWP and the Divi and Elementor page builders, as well as developer utilities for custom integrations. Stripe Radar includes fraud protection and spam prevention. Stripe Checkout forms can use custom branding and collect additional customer details. Stripe Checkout is described as PCI DSS compliant and SCA-ready.

Set up a payment form

Connect WP Simple Pay Pro to Stripe, create a form, choose the payment type, and add the fields and options your offer needs. Configure payment or subscription settings, then place the form on your site. A pre-made template can give you a starting point.

The listing states that Pro has no added transaction fee from the add-on; Stripe processing fees still apply. The Lite version has an additional 3% per-transaction fee plus Stripe fees. Pro also includes access to one-on-one support and documentation.
