WordPress plugin
WP Multilang Premium for WordPress Multilingual Sites
WP Multilang Premium manages translations for posts and post types, taxonomies, meta fields, options, multimedia text fields, menus, titles, widgets, and comments. Posts, terms, menus, widgets, and comments can be managed separately by language without duplicate entries. Translation runs in PHP, and the plugin works with REST, multisite, and WordPress installations in a subfolder. It does not require a subdomain for each language or add database tables.
Language options organize WordPress content
WP Multilang Premium manages translations for posts and post types, taxonomies, meta fields, options, multimedia text fields, menus, titles, widgets, and comments. Translation options support in-website and external workflows
Premium features include automatic translation, URL slug translation, automatic URL slug translation where supported, and base translation for supported tasks. For external translation, export selected content in XLIFF or XML, complete the translation, then import it. Translation settings can cover multidimensional arrays in options, meta fields, and post content. JSON configuration and filters let administrators define what is translated, including dynamic settings.
Locale and role settings shape language access
The add-on supports many languages and can use one installed localization for regional variations. Custom HTML locales can be set, such as en, en-UK, or en-AU, without installing another localization. Users with the manage_options capability can add languages. The Translator role can edit posts and terms but cannot publish or delete them.
Editor and field integrations extend translation coverage
WP Multilang supports the WordPress full website editor for block-based themes, block-based widgets, various featured pictures for each language, and Smart Custom Fields. Premium compatibility is listed for Elementor, Divi Builder, Bricks Builder, and Oxygen Builder. Other listed integrations include ACF and ACF Pro, Gutenberg, WooCommerce Customizer, Yoast SEO, SEOPress, Contact Form 7, WPBakery, SiteOrigin Page Builder, NextGEN Gallery, Rank Math SEO, WPGraphQL, Gravity Forms, Forminator Forms, Fluent Forms, Ultimate Member, BuddyPress, TablePress, MailChimp for WordPress, Newsletter, Maps Builder, Max Mega Menu, MasterSlider, WP-PageNavi, Meta Slider, Download Monitor, Better Search, All in One SEO Pack, Internal Link Juicer, Strong Testimonials, GamiPress, PublishPress Authors, and Autolinks Manager. Compatibility depends on how each integration stores data; some plugins, particularly page builders, may need configuration through JSON settings or filters.
WooCommerce translations connect products and customer language
Translate simple, variable, and grouped products, along with categories, tags, and global attributes. WooCommerce utilities also support product import and export, cart synchronization across languages, and customer emails in the selected language. Review translated products, categories, attributes, cart behavior, and email language settings before publishing a multilingual store.
Configuration determines which content is translated
Install and activate the plugin through WordPress, then define the site languages and translation settings. Configure the post types, fields, taxonomies, menus, widgets, products, and other content needed in each language. For external translation, export selected content in XLIFF or XML, complete the translation process, and import the translated content. Because integrations store data differently, some content may need additional configuration to translate or save correctly. Try the plugin in a test environment and make a backup before activating it on an existing production site.
