Build maps from WordPress locations and content
WP MAPS PRO extends WP Maps for directories, shop locators, service-area maps, contact pages, and other location projects. It supports Google Maps, OpenStreetMap, and Mapbox. The Pro version includes the free version's capabilities and includes ways to show and organize WordPress content. Google Maps requires an API key when selected as the provider.
Publish maps in posts, pages, or widgets with shortcodes. The plugin also works with major page builders and themes.
Choose map content and listing layouts
Show locations, blog posts, pages, or custom post types on a map. Custom fields and Advanced Custom Fields (ACF) can supply map content. Organize records with marker categories, custom taxonomy terms, and fields, then choose from multiple layouts for listings and marker infowindows. Listings can use list or grid layouts.
- Use SVG marker icons, including uploaded icons, and make markers draggable.
- Reduce overlap between markers with automatic spiderfier effects.
- Center maps automatically based on assigned locations.
Help visitors find locations
Create unlimited custom filters based on custom fields, taxonomies, or ACF fields. Visitors can filter by marker category, custom taxonomy terms, location, or radius, with distances in kilometers or miles. URL parameters can carry search and filter options so visitors can share a filtered map view. Country restrictions can limit search results and autosuggestions.
Smart tabs can provide access to Categories, Directions, Routes, and Nearby Amenities. Nearby amenities can display places such as ATMs, banks, and stores.
Configure routes and map controls
Display multiple custom routes between locations and set each route's color, opacity, and weight. Directions API integration lets visitors request directions between locations on a map. Custom HTML, pictures, or videos can be added as map controls.
Available controls include zoom, fullscreen, map type, scale, Street View, camera, and Locate Me, with options for positioning them. Map options also include KML and KMZ, traffic, transit and bicycling layers, GeoJSON, custom styling, and color schemes.
Connect marker activity to analytics
Marker click events can be integrated with Microsoft Clarity, Google Analytics 4, Meta Pixel, and Zapier. The Pro version also offers access to more than 25 additional add-ons.
Set up and publish a map
Install WP MAPS PRO in WordPress, choose a map provider, and create a map with its locations, markers, and listings. Configure the layouts, filters, routes, or controls you need, then publish the map in a post, page, or widget using a shortcode.
