Read session and device information
Login status indicates whether a user is logged in, logged out, or failed to log in. Online status indicates whether the user is online, idle, or offline. Session duration records time spent on the website per session, while last seen information shows recent activity.
The Pro edition can identify whether a login used a mobile device, such as a phone or tablet, and can record a proxy IP. Browser and operating system details describe the device environment. The listing also records the current role and the role held when the user logged in.
Configure tracking and account controls
- Role tracking: Limit tracking to selected roles.
- Idle logout: Log out idle users after a selected number of minutes, with role selection available.
- IP address show: Control masking and hiding of user IP addresses.
- Record cleanup: Delete records older than a selected number of days, with role selection available.
- Email alerts: Receive notifications for successful or failed logins, choose roles, and edit email templates.
Automatic logout, record deletion, and related scheduled behavior use WordPress Cron Job.
Search, export, and report on activity
Advanced search filters narrow the listing. Administrators can export records to CSV and set the CSV separator. A customizable shortcode can display records on the front end.
Reporting tools can make a timesheet report, list users who have not logged in during a selected date range, and show login counts by IP address in a login-device report. In multisite, the network admin area includes a view of records fetched from the blogs in the current network.
Open the login list
After activating the plugin, log in again and open the User Login History menu in the left sidebar. Use the available options to configure tracking, alerts, automatic logout, record deletion, exports, and reports for the site.
