LocoAI Pro

LocoAI Pro and LocoAI Premium License are paid editions of the LocoAI extension for Loco Translate. They add automatic translation for translatable strings in WordPress add-ons and themes, within the Loco Translate editor. The addon does not automatically translate page or post content.

Provider options by edition

• Free and Pro: Yandex Translate, Chrome built-in AI, and Edge built-in AI.
• Pro: ChatGPT, Gemini, the Google Translate widget, DeepL document translation, OpenAI, and Ollama Cloud.

Yandex Translate and the built-in browser AI options do not require a provider API key. Chrome and Edge AI need a compatible desktop browser, a secure connection, and language packs for the selected language pair. The ChatGPT process does not require an API key. Gemini, DeepL document translation, OpenAI, and Ollama Cloud require their own API keys. DeepL document translation includes a limited number of free document translations per day or can be used with DeepL Pro.

Available languages depend on the provider. The addon does not impose a character limit, and unlimited free translations are listed for supported settings. Provider quotas, charges, service limits, and availability may still apply.

Context and editing

Pro includes Translation Context & Tone options. Add information about the business, brand voice, and target audience to help tailor the translated strings. After running a translation, review and refine the results in Loco Translate’s built-in editor before applying them to the project. Check translations carefully before making them live, especially when wording is customer-facing, technical, or brand-specific.

Setup and support

Install LocoAI alongside Loco Translate, then open the editor for the add-on or theme you want to translate. Choose a provider and configure any required API key or service setting. For Pro integrations, install the Pro plugin and activate a premium license key. Run the automatic translation action, review and edit the resulting strings, then apply the finished translations.

Premium support is listed with a stated support time of 24-48 hours.
