Image processing happens on your server without an external compression API.
Pro includes the capabilities available in QuickWebP Free, includes AVIF conversion for supported servers running PHP 8.1 or later, and offers stronger compression. AVIF files can be smaller than JPG and PNG documents and are typically smaller than WebP. Automatic fallback helps older browsers receive a compatible image format.
Which media library tasks can it handle?
- Set maximum width and height values to resize oversized uploads.
- Clean image filenames and pre-fill alt text, caption, description, legend, and title fields.
- Paste a picture from the clipboard into the WordPress media frame.
- Review optimization information in the settings screen.
- Bulk-optimize older media when the original files have been preserved.
How do you configure image processing?
Install and activate QuickWebP Pro in WordPress, then open its settings to set image dimensions and optimization preferences. For AVIF conversion, the server must support PHP 8.1 or later. Upload a test JPG or PNG through the media library and review the generated formats and metadata.
