License Manager for WooCommerce Pro is designed for digital product stores, WordPress add-on and theme developers, SaaS providers, and agencies distributing client licenses. It manages license records and serial key inventories within a WooCommerce process.

Create a license key generator with custom parameters, then assign it to one or more WooCommerce products. When a product is sold, the system makes a license key and can deliver it automatically by email and through the customer's WooCommerce account. Administrators can manage key availability and license status in the dashboard or resend delivery.

What changes during a license lifecycle

Pro includes tools for product downloads, validation, subscription renewals, and external integrations:

• Download Expires: Generate new software license keys and serial key entries when downloaded products expire.
• Product Download Detail: Associate a product version and change log with each software license.
• Customer license validation: Validate access using a customer ID or assigned serial key.
• Ping Request: Check the client-server connection and confirm software license validity.
• Subscription renewals: Issue a new key or extend the existing license and serial key when a subscription renews.
• Webhooks: Trigger external actions through real-time license events.
• QR Code Activation: Provide scannable QR codes linked to software licenses and serial keys.

Customer access and connected services

Customers can view their license keys and serial key information in the WooCommerce My Account area. They can activate or deactivate keys, monitor serial key usage, and download software license certificates. Administrators can add a company logo to a certificate and resend license delivery manually.

The REST API works with license validation, activation, and deactivation. Connected applications, add-ons, and external services can use these operations with license records.

Inventory, imports, and exports

The system can manage licensed product stock and serial key inventory automatically. Administrators can also generate licenses for past orders, import batches by file upload, export license records as PDF or CSV, and migrate keys from Digital License Manager or another existing key manager.

Record visibility and setup

License records are stored with encryption. Administrators can conceal or partially mask serial key values, and bulk tools help manage larger batches.

Install License Manager for WooCommerce Pro on the WordPress website running WooCommerce. Create or import license records, configure generators, and assign them to the relevant digital products. Then review the delivery, customer account, API, subscription, webhook, and activation options for the store's workflow.
