Select tables and data formats
Choose individual tables or grouped sections, including tables created by add-ons. The replacement can cover posts, pages, image URLs, excerpts, post metadata, custom post types, widgets and widget data, settings, options, and other website content. Pro handles serialized, encoded, and JSON data across tables, and can convert relative URLs to absolute URLs.
The add-on identifies tables that may not be safe to update. Review those tables before proceeding. If you choose to update a table marked as not safe, back up the database first.
Test and track the replacement
Enter or review the old and new URLs, then test the proposed change before applying it. The test report lists how many URLs would be affected and where they are located. Real-time reporting shows counts and locations as you work; after the update, a report records what changed. You can also view your site's address history and previous update details.
An option can correct common URL-entry mistakes. Predictive URL entry can fill in the old and new site addresses.
Run the update
In the WordPress dashboard, open Tools and choose Go Live. Choose the tables or sections to include, review the test results, and execute the replacement. The extension supports single-site and multisite installations. WP-CLI support lets you update URLs from the command line.
Installation and support
Add the plugin to the WordPress site where the domain change is needed, then open its controls under Tools. The Pro edition includes priority support and access to a members-only support area, along with documentation and troubleshooting information.
