Choose how each form delivers its PDF
Configure notifications for the visitor, administrator, or both. Pro can send dynamically generated or predefined PDFs through Mail 1 and Mail 2, with recipient settings and controls to enable or disable PDF attachments. Contact Form 7 uploaded documents can appear inside the PDF, and an additional file can accompany the PDF email attachment.
Build the document from form data
Add submitted values, a header logo, and a thank-you message to the PDF. Use form tags in the document or filename, and apply Contact Form 7 special mail tags and date formats. The [_post_title] tag inserts the post or current page title. To show an acceptance value, use a matching tag that begins with [acceptance-], such as [acceptance-terms-condition].
The editor supports HTML and CSS within the capabilities of the mPDF library. Adjust fonts, text formatting, header and footer content, page size, margins, and header picture position. Other layout options include background pictures or colors, gradients, watermark text, custom page numbers, and page breaks. Right-to-left text is supported. End users can add a signature that is embedded in the PDF as a PNG or image file. Choose a template, preview the PDF in the admin interface before saving or sending it, and use compression to reduce file size.
Review submissions and PDF activity
The dedicated PDF menu includes a submission list for viewing and downloading generated PDFs, along with a list of configured PDF forms. Submitted form data can be saved to the database and exported as CSV. Import and export settings to reuse configuration across websites.
The Pro PDF Analytics Dashboard reports the number of PDFs generated, downloads, and emails sent. It also tracks failed PDF generations and shows charts for daily, monthly, yearly, or custom date ranges. Recent activity includes user email addresses, actions, and timestamps; dashboard widgets can be enabled or disabled.
Choose where PDFs are stored
Store generated PDFs on the server or use Amazon S3, Google Drive, or Dropbox. The admin interface also provides branding and color options.
Check font files when generation reports an error
If you use a font that is not included and encounter a missing TTF font file error, upload the required font to the add-on's mPDF ttfonts directory.
