A compact bar can reopen settings, or place a settings link or text elsewhere with the [eucookiesbar_settings]Your text[/eucookiesbar_settings] shortcode.
Set a cookie notice and let users manage choices
EU Cookies Bar for WordPress Premium provides a configurable cookie bar and a settings panel with the website’s privacy information and cookie list. Visitors can review cookie details, accept or decline, and return to change their selections. A compact bar can reopen settings, or place a settings link or text elsewhere with the [eucookiesbar_settings]Your text[/eucookiesbar_settings] shortcode.
Edit the notice message with the WordPress editor and select a position: top, bottom, bottom left, or bottom right. The bar can include decline and close buttons. Configure what closing, scrolling, or refreshing does; each action can accept or decline according to the option you choose.
Choose how cookie rules affect visitor choices
Set how long an accepted agreement remains valid. If you enable the blocking option, cookies stay blocked until a visitor accepts. Identify strictly necessary cookies that visitors cannot disable, and specify name prefixes for cookies that should remain enabled. The privacy policy area can explain the website’s cookie use and list its cookies. Premium adds a separate expiration period for cookie rejections, multilingual support, and language detection.
Organize cookie details into categories
Premium can scan the site to detect cookies and display cookie information on the front end and in the back end. Administrators can add, edit, and delete cookie entries, including their names, categories, durations, and descriptions.
Create categories with names and descriptions, assign cookies to them, and mark selected cookies as Always Active. Add, remove, and rearrange categories by dragging and dropping them. This information can then appear in the visitor settings panel.
Customize the notice and settings panel
Premium adds controls for the privacy button’s appearance, a header title, the delay before the bar appears, and a timeout for dismissing it. Conditional tags can control where and when the bar appears.
Choose a settings panel layout and show cookies as a list or in tabs. Add custom icons, adjust popup opacity, and choose whether to show the cookie list, descriptions, or specific categories. Customize labels for the overview, cookie list, cookie names and descriptions, Always Active section, and Active Cookie section. The save, accept, and reject buttons also have show and color settings.
Reopen settings and review consent activity
Position a floating icon and choose which icon it displays for quick access to cookie settings. Premium also integrates with Google Tag Manager and Meta Pixel for tracking. Administrators can view activity logs of interactions with the consent mechanism and generate reports on cookie consent performance.
Install and configure the add-on
Install and activate EU Cookies Bar for WordPress in WordPress, then open its settings to configure the notice, visitor choices, cookie categories, settings panel, and floating icon. Add the shortcode wherever visitors need a direct settings link. Use the Premium options for language detection, integrations, logs, and reports.
