Collect customer documents with a purchase
Drag and Drop Multiple File Upload for WooCommerce Pro adds a multi-file uploader for customer materials such as documents, pictures, artwork, and other files. Customers can drag files into the upload area or choose them through the standard file browser.
Depending on the configuration, the uploader can appear on a WooCommerce product page or at checkout. On a single product page, place it in relation to the add-to-cart form, variations form, add-to-cart button, or a single variation. Choose whether it appears before or after the relevant form components.
Set upload behavior and field rules
Customers can upload files through Ajax without reloading the page, then remove an uploaded file before adding the product to the cart. Pro supports larger files and chunked uploads, which divide files into smaller parts to help avoid timeouts. Administrators can limit simultaneous uploads. Pro also supports unlimited uploads, with field options for limiting the number and size of files.
- Show image thumbnails with previews.
- Set accepted file types or extensions, and validate file types and sizes.
- Set limits for each field, including file count and file size.
- Customize uploader colors, borders, icons, text, and error messages.
- Control visibility by category, product, tag, or attribute.
- Place the uploader before or after relevant form elements.
The uploader is mobile responsive and browser compatible. Its text and error messages are managed in the add-on settings.
Choose file names, folders, and storage
Set filename patterns using values such as the filename, username, visitor ID, IP address, or a random value. The upload directory can be changed from the default WordPress directory. Folder settings include order number, random numbers, date, time, customer first name, or customer ID.
Remote storage options include Google Drive, Amazon S3, Dropbox, and FTP. ZIP archive creation is available for compressing uploaded files. With standard storage, uploaded files can be attached to order confirmation emails. Email attachments are not compatible with remote storage.
Apply fees and manage order files
Basic conditional fees can be based on the number of uploaded files or PDF pages. For example, a store can apply a fee after a file-count threshold or multiply a charge by the number of PDF pages. Administrators can remove or reject files from WooCommerce orders.
The Pro edition supports WPML and Polylang translations.
Install and configure the uploader
- Install and activate WooCommerce and the file upload add-on.
- Confirm the store uses WooCommerce version 3.5.0 or later.
- Open the file upload settings and configure restrictions, labels, messages, and display rules.
- Choose the product, checkout location, or form position for the uploader.
- Set storage, naming, folder, fee, and email options as needed.
- Before publishing, test file selection, validation, cart handling, and order management.
