Breadcrumb Premium: Control Which Pages Show a Trail

Breadcrumb navigation across WordPress
Breadcrumb Premium generates navigation trails for posts, pages and parent pages, archives, categories, tags, custom taxonomies and post types, author pages, date views, search pages, the WooCommerce shop, and product pages. Visitors can use a trail to see where they are within the website.
Use the [breadcrumb] shortcode to place the trail where needed in a supported content area or layout.
Control where breadcrumbs appear
Premium visibility rules let you hide breadcrumbs on the front page, home page, blog, author, search, year, month, date, category, and tag views. You can also hide them by post type or individual post ID. ID rules support custom post types and other selected content.
Adjust labels and styling
- Add custom text before the breadcrumb and select separator text. The final separator can be hidden.
- Show or hide the “Home” text.
- Limit link text by word count or character count, and set custom ending text for shortened links.
- Set the font size for link text and adjust the breadcrumb container’s margin and padding.
- Choose colors for link text, separators, and the link background.
Hooks and translation
Filter and action hooks let developers rewrite or override breadcrumb components without editing the add-on code. The plugin is translation-ready and includes a default English translation file; you can add another translation when needed.
Installation and setup
Install the plugin through the WordPress dashboard, find Breadcrumb in the plugin list, and activate it. Open the Breadcrumb settings to configure wording, separators, link limits, colors, font size, and spacing. Choose the website areas for breadcrumbs, then add the shortcode where a specific placement is needed. Review the output on relevant archive, post, taxonomy, and WooCommerce pages before applying visibility rules or custom styling.
