Choose how products are recommended

WooCommerce Product Recommendations Premium lets shop owners configure product suggestions for different shopping contexts. Use a template or create custom recommendations with rules and conditions. Upsells display alternatives on product pages, cross-sells pair complementary entries with products in the cart, and related products connect items shoppers may want to explore.

Templates, rules, and eligible products

Templates include related products, recently viewed products, bestsellers, top-rated products, frequently bought together, new arrivals, and Trending Now items based on products trending in the past 30 days. Custom recommendations let you define rules and conditions, with filters to refine which products qualify.

For related products, choose by category, subcategory, tags, attributes, or specific products. Category and tag selections can apply store-wide, while individual products can have their own selections. Exclude chosen categories or out-of-stock products. Sorting options include rating, price, and popularity, among others.

Placements and show options

Show recommendations on product, category, shop, cart, checkout, and order received pages. Configure the section heading, product order, and number of items. Related products can display in a slider, and the related products widget is compatible with block-based themes.

Use the related products shortcode [wt-related-products product_id="xx"] to display related products on posts or pages. You can also remove the theme’s default related products section when using a custom arrangement.

Product management and setup

Import related products with the default WooCommerce importer. With WPML, the same related product set can appear on translated versions of a product. Compatibility is also listed with Product Import Export for WooCommerce and WP All Import Export for WooCommerce.

Install and activate the add-on in WordPress, then open its options to configure templates, rules, product relationships, exclusions, placements, and display options. Start with a template or create a custom campaign, then review the selected products and their presentation on the relevant store pages.
