TaxoPress Pro for WordPress Taxonomy Management

Choose where taxonomies apply

TaxoPress Pro handles Tags, Categories, and other WordPress taxonomy terms for posts and pages, WooCommerce products, and bbPress topics. Create taxonomies, edit their settings and visual labels, and set whether terms use parent-child relationships. Assign taxonomies to post types, such as making Categories available on Pages or WooCommerce Tags on Posts. Term tools let you add, rename, remove, delete, and merge terms.

Automatic actions depend on terms in your content

Auto Terms scans post titles and content for specified terms, then can assign a matching existing term. Auto Links finds term mentions in content and links them to the term’s archive page. You can also manage terms attached to a post, scan posts for suggestions from terms already on your website, or view all terms in a taxonomy.

AI suggestions use connected services

TaxoPress Pro integrates with OpenAI, IBM Watson, and other services. When connected, these services can scan content and suggest existing or new taxonomy terms. Review suggestions and apply those that fit your taxonomy structure.

Synonyms and linked terms affect assignments

Term Synonyms associates multiple words with one main term. When TaxoPress Pro finds a synonym while scanning content, it treats the match as the main term. Linked Terms connects terms so that adding a main term to a post also includes its linked terms.

Choose how terms and related posts appear

Terms Display creates a customizable list or cloud of terms from one taxonomy. Terms for Current Post lets you customize the terms shown for an individual post. Related Posts displays posts with similar tags and categories. Tag Clouds provide another visual show of taxonomy terms.

Configure taxonomies, term automation, displays, synonyms, and linked terms in the WordPress plugin settings. AI suggestions require a connection to an available external service. The Pro version includes additional functions and expert support.
